About Steven person
As the son of an educator and a soldier, I have a deeply rooted understanding of the needs and concerns of our community, especially the residents who live in District 5. I am proud to have seen growth across the county – growth that has changed the area of my childhood home from a remote part of West Pulaski County to a solidified suburb of central Little Rock. after completing my military service in Iraq, I came back to a community that needed someone with a vision and a voice who would work to change the landscape of opportunity for future generations. I knew I had to dedicate my time, talent, and passion to being a public servant. And I have.

I have a track record of community involvement, engagement, and leadership with a vision to build a brighter future for all residents of Pulaski County.

What is a justice of the peace?
In Arkansas, a Justice of the peace (JP) is an elected official who serves on the quorum court. This is the legislative branch of county government- similar to a city council, but for the county. Justices of the peace decide how tax dollars will be allocated for things like county roads, emergency services, libraries, County jails, and community programs. Justices of the peace are elected to two year terms and vote on county ordinances and resolutions.
